Medieval Fantasy City Generator by watabou

Some example maps for folks to see

theres several other palettes and style options, options for adding and removing elements, and a separate site hosting this generator as well, where you can edit the size and seed in the address bar

San francisco Paris Tokyo Los angeles Hong kong Rio de janeiro New york city

What the city is missing: Thierry Cohen photographs cityscapes and then photographs deserts at night, combing the two to show us what our cities would look like with the lights off. The stars are not enhanced, they are actual photos from relative latitudes that would expose the same starry sky view if it weren’t for light pollution.

How much will it cost to mitigate climate change?

Our potential mitigation options are ordered from left-to-right in terms of cost (getting progressively more expensive as we move to the right).[...]

You will see that many options to the left-hand side of the curve have negative costs. Negative costs indicate options which would actually save money. These are typically related to energy efficiency or land management projects which would provide an economic return over the longer-term.
